Using carefully selected, aromatic varieties including Muscat Bailey A, Kyoho, and Campbell.
This sparkling wine is bottled just before the end of fermentation, allowing it to continue fermenting naturally in the bottle and creating a gentle, natural effervescence. It is unfiltered and undisgorged, leaving natural grape lees that add depth, texture, and a subtle cloudiness.
Tegumi is crafted by Mari Uchiki, a female winemaker at Kyoto Tamba Wine, who applies the philosophy of washoku to winemaking—bringing out the natural character of the grapes with minimal intervention. Made without added sulfites, this wine reflects a “subtractive” approach, preserving pure grape and yeast aromas and expressing the grapes’ true potential in a lively, distinctive style.
Please chill well before opening, as the wine may overflow when opened.
Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
This lightly sparkling rosé surprises with lively bubbles right upon opening, far more energetic than expected. Its vivid cherry-pink colour is bright and inviting, with a clean, light-bodied texture. On the nose, it offers aromas of cherries and strawberries, reminiscent of sweet candy, with subtle hints of cinnamon and a gentle floral character. On the palate, the refreshing bubbles create a lively and pleasant first impression. Crisp acidity and a faint lingering sweetness carry through to a clean, invigorating finish.
Best enjoyed by the moment rather than with a specific dish, it’s perfect for casual sipping with friends or family, pairing wonderfully with relaxed occasions like a barbecue. Its approachable, easygoing style makes it fun to drink freely.

Our Philosophy of Winemaking
Our small winery is nestled in Kyotamba Town, Kyoto Prefecture—a place blessed with beautiful mountains, pure water, and the rich gifts of the land, where people live in harmony with nature. Through our wines, Tamba Wine seeks to share the unique character of Kyotamba’s terroir and the richness of Japanese food culture.
Here, we reflect on what is truly important to preserve for future generations. By nurturing this land and respecting its traditions, we are committed to discovering, protecting, and passing on values that will endure for years to come.
Creating Wines to Pair with Japanese Cuisine
Tamba Wine was founded in 1979 by Tetsuo Kuroi with a clear and passionate vision: to create wines that pair beautifully with Kyoto’s food culture. This philosophy soon gained recognition, and from 1984, our wines were awarded Gold Medals at the Monde Selection for six consecutive years.
Guided by our management principles, we continue to pursue winemaking that reduces environmental impact while embracing constant innovation in both viticulture and vinification. By taking on new challenges and refining our approach, we remain dedicated to crafting wines that complement washoku (Japanese cuisine).
Bringing people closer to happiness through wine—playing even a small role in that journey—is our enduring mission.
