This wine is made from a carefully balanced blend of Koshu grapes, Japan’s indigenous variety, grown in Yamanashi Prefecture, and crafted using the sur lie method, in which the wine is aged on its lees without racking until bottling, allowing umami-rich components from the lees to be slowly extracted. The 2023 vintage was warm and dry, resulting in high-quality fruit, and the wine shows fresh citrus aromas with a pleasant, well-balanced umami, making it versatile and enjoyable with a wide range of dishes.

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
The sur lie ageing results in a fruity, fuller-bodied wine that fully expresses the charm of Koshu. It pairs beautifully with Japanese cuisine such as tempura, sashimi, grilled fish, and simmered dishes, as well as simply seasoned foods that highlight natural ingredients. A versatile wine that can be enjoyed effortlessly at everyday meals.
